Safari Ibleo: A magic adventure in Land Rover

The trip develops along the course of the river Irminio that, historically represented the eastern border of nearby Kamarina with Syracuse, as well as an ancient communication route, which historically was navigable in some parts.

In this way, the river joins the coast with the ibleo hinterland, already famous for its farm produce, and above all for its thyme honey, of which Virgilio speaks in the opera "Le bucoliche". Our cross-country route will follow the route and scenic valley of the river.

You will be immersed into a abundance of nature in which the Mediterranean flora and fauna (where marsh reeds can be noted along the riverbank) alternate with, for example, industrial archaelogy in the form of asphalt mines, and also primitive houses.

You won't be lacking a bit of adventure with passages of fords and rocky terrain, everything seasoned with the sampling of all the typical produce that our land is able to offer you.
